Here is your opportunity to learn from one of the best fire breathers in the world not in an extremely rushed festival environment, disctracted by 10 other workshops happening at the same time. Learn to be a dragon in a relaxed and comfortable setting.

AAAAAAAAAND...Moose will be joined by the originator of corn starch fire breathing: the man, the myth, the legend...Ian Plimmer. Don't pass up this opportunity to learn from both!

For almost EVERYONE, even if you have done a fireball before, it is highly suggested you still partake in 101 to reinfornce fundamentals. If you feel you may be able to start at 102 or Next Level, please reach out to Moose beforehand with links to videos of your current breathing skills for approval.

10:00am-11:30am Cornstarch Fire Breathing 101 - $200

Intro course for people interested in learning how to breathe fire using the healthier, “safer” medium of dry cornstarch. For clarity, there is some risk to fire performance no matter how experienced one is and foreknowledge of basic fire safety and some familiarity with fire props or performance is preferred, but not required. We will start the course covering fire safety and detailing the risks before moving on to fireballs. From there we will explore some basic tricks that are easy to perform for an audience. If you have a corn allergy, this course is unfortunately not for you.

12:00pm-1:30pm Cornstarch Fire Breathing 102 - $200

Building on the knowledge gained in 101, we will explore exercises and methods for fine tuning previous skills to continue the progression of becoming a fire breathing dragon. After covering these topics and drills, you will be able to practice while Moose (the instructor) provides feedback and coaching.

2:00pm-3:30pm Next Level Cornstarch Fire Breathing - $300

Bigger, hotter, longer. We'll explore more difficult and dangerous tricks and their required risk management. This is fire breathing, there will be no holding hands and singing campfire songs. Wear full sleeves, bring a hoodie, bring eye protection, and*plenty* of water. In order to pull off more difficult tricks, we'll need you to get comfortable taking fireballs to the face in a controlled and supervised environment. This will enable you to avoid panic in your private practice in future. There’s no way around that. We'll continue down the rabbit hole of desensitizing the fear of being engulfed by fire from one's own mouth, and doing epic dragon activities safely.

To help you get the most out of the workshop, please bring the following:

• Comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty

• Fire safe clothing ONLY: natural fibers(cotton, linen, leather, hemp, etc.) 100% cotton T-shirt and pure denim jeans are fine. A hoodie if you wish to try more difficult tricks. For long hair bring a natural fiber beanie or other head cover to tuck hair into, to ensure you retain the long hair by end of the course. Closed-toe shoes.

• Water. Big jug, you will be thirsty and need to rinse mouth or wet hair

• A towel and/or bandana to wipe face and arms

• A notebook and pen (optional)

• Any personal snacks/meals you may want during breaks

•Torch! If you have the tool you would like to breathe with, please bring it! Keep in mind, you will be getting cornstarch on the prop and frequently using it will create a build up on the prop. We'll cover some prop maintenance.

Moose may also have a limited amount of basic torches available for$30/ each if you wish to dedicate a tool to this practice without sacrificing something of an old set. Please reach out if you would like to reserve one.

Cornstarch and white gas will be provided, limited torches available to try if you do not have a preferred torch for which you would like to start your journey down the rabbit hole.
